Fine Stitches was started in 1991 by Anila Lalwani. Based in Mumbai, Fine Stitches has been exporting high quality hand-embroideries for couture and prêt-a-porter collections to some of the leading fashion houses across the globe.
Fine Stitches’ in-house studio design team creates new innovative collections of embroidery swatches all through the year based on research of fashion trends using reports from Premiere Vision and other such trade shows and research of embroidery materials and fabrics. The collection of embroidery swatches are made available to design houses for selection. Design houses select swatches to be used for couture beaded gowns, jackets, pants, tops, accessories, bridal wear, etc.
We even create embroidery swatches according to the specifications and vision of our clients. We work with clients at various levels of price points.
Fine Stitches specializes in zardosi (using a regular needle), aari embroidery (using a hook crochet needle) and beadwork. Our designing and workmanship are world class. Fine Stitches has over 300 craftsmen who are trained to adhere to international standards of quality. Fine Stitches believes in ethical business practices and does not use child labour. As per the International Treaties concerning human rights, Fine Stitches does not have commercial relationships with any embroidery workshops that directly or indirectly employ workers who are not the minimum age established by the law, i.e. 15.
